Stridefly saves your accounts, balances, transactions, budgets and positions on your phone and in your own iCloud account. We do not run a financial database that stores them. This page says exactly what that means, including the parts that pass through a service we operate.
This page explains how Stridefly protects your data in plain language. For the formal details, read our Privacy Policy.
We never sell your personal information, and we don't share your financial data for advertising or marketing. We don't use your information for targeted advertising.
Accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, positions and net worth history are saved on your phone and in your iCloud account. Apple handles iCloud data under its own privacy policy.

Privacy settings: what stays hidden
When you connect a bank or brokerage, you sign in through Plaid or your institution, and Stridefly never receives your login details. Your financial data passes through a service we operate on its way to your phone. That service does not keep copies of your balances, positions or transactions. It keeps an encrypted key for each connection and the institution’s name (for example, “Chase”). When you sign in, it keeps a code Apple provides for your Stridefly account, plus your name and email if you choose to share them. It also keeps basic details about your phone, such as the app version. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Connecting requires Sign in with Apple. You can disconnect an institution at any time.
Optional analytics help us see which features are useful. They are off until you say yes. The app may ask once, after your own data first arrives, never during setup or in demo mode, and you can change your choice in Settings. They never include your name, email, financial data or account details.
Lock the app with Face ID, use the privacy screen, and hide balances. Export your data as JSON whenever you like.
When you’re signed in, Erase device data removes your financial data from your phone and its iCloud copy. When you’re not, it clears this phone only. Delete Account removes your Stridefly account, disconnects your institutions and erases financial data from your phone and iCloud copy. Delete Account cannot be undone.
Demo mode shows sample households with no sign-in and no connection. See the full privacy policy.
It is saved on your phone and in your iCloud, protected by Face ID if you turn it on. We encrypt data in transit and stored connection tokens. No system is completely secure, which is why we limit what our systems retain.

Yes. When the app opens, it registers your phone with a service we operate so it can receive notifications. When you connect a bank or brokerage, your financial data passes through that service on its way to your phone, and ticker symbols pass through it when the app looks up prices. That service does not keep copies of your balances, positions or transactions. It keeps an encrypted key for each connection and the institution’s name (for example, “Chase”). When you sign in, it keeps a code Apple provides for your Stridefly account, plus your name and email if you choose to share them. Yes. When you’re signed in, Erase device data removes your financial data from your phone and its iCloud copy; when you’re not, it clears this phone only. Delete Account also disconnects your institutions and removes your Stridefly account. Both are in Settings, and Delete Account cannot be undone. Stridefly is in private beta. We invite people in small groups, starting in November. Once you're in, you can look around with sample data before you add anything, no account needed.
